[Gpdd] PETER GURNEY candle lighting

Hello Everyone and Everypiggy,

A candle was lit in Wheeling, Illinois, USA, last night to remember our
esteemed Peter Gurney and his many contributions to the well being of
guinea pigs.

Coincidentally, today is the 50th anniversary of the passing of my dear
mother, greatly loved, and of blessed memory.

I have been piggieless for a while, but very much enjoy reading about you
all and your piggies, and your candle lighting observances. My beloved
piggies added so much joy to my life, and also brought me friendships
through the gpdd. I feel like part of a planetary community of good people
and their animals.

Thank you to all, and especially to Audrey and Cindy, and their doughty
cavy assistants, for organizing and recording the memorial. Audrey, I sent
you a photo.
