Hi to all Pigs and People,

It seems like I can't walk into the dollar store anymore without coming up
with wild and wonderful ideas on how to improve my piggies' environment!
Everything I see there inspires me to create safe but exciting "stations"
and "add-ons" to keep their home interesting and fun. My latest find is
called a baseball cap washer. Have you seen these? They are the shape of a
baseball cap, but made out of white plastic. They are the shape of a
half-sphere but instead of being solid, they are made up of plastic strips
with three inch spaces between each strip. Well, it's hard to describe!
Anyway, it is just GREAT to use as a hay feeder. I just put a few handfuls
of hay under the "cap" part of it and the pigs can get at the hay relatively
easily as well as enjoying the challenge of having to pick the hay out. It
also keeps the hay contained for those of us with allergies, keeps the pigs
from peeing and pooping on the hay, and keeps the hay from getting all over
the place. It is just great!
Peace,
Linda
