Hi Kelly, I'd say go for the salt lick! Most piggies never use it, but my Sweetie does. She goes through a salt lick every 2-3 months. It's just one of those things that doesn't spoil, doesn't take up much room, and it's there in case a pig needs it. best wishes, Marion
