Dear Kathy,
Zoree sounds delightful, a piggy who knew her own mind. And one
doesn't have to be cuddly to have real personality. Grumpy can be good -- in fact
it can be a rather distinguishing and even endearing trait.
I enjoyed reading about her and your life with her and Beatrice ---
particularly the details that you shared here. And yet the time comes when they
are called home. I'm sorry that she had to deal with a long illness at the
end, however.
But now she is where she will never be sick again. Where she will be
young and healthy frolicing in an almost endless garden.
Nevertheless, I am very sorry for your loss. It is so painful to lose
one of our precious little guys or girls, and I can imagine how you must
feeling, having had the same experience myself. A piece of us always seems to go
with them.
My Ebeneezer's buddy, Beethoven, crossed over the Bridge yesterday
(Saturday), too. Ebeneezer himself moved on to the Bridge on June 7, 2004. I am
terribly saddened by Beethoven's passing following surgery, and now I read that
your Zoree was gone.
I'm sure the welcoming committee was right there to welcome her when
she arrived at the Bridge. Death can be a merciful release from pain and
illness as I know you realize.
She was lucky to have been found by you and that you were willing to
give two piggies a home. Piggies who are loved as your were are very fortunate.
They leave us with sadness but also with warm memories of the time they spent
with us.

God bless,
Alge and the Jolly Rodents (+ the two mini guineas.)
