I was cleaning my inbox and read again about Digger the piggy/turtle. I
put a piggaloo in the cage Sonja and Gus live in while I was home for
lunch today. Sonja ran into it and immediately turned it so the opening
pointed away from Gus and started chasing Gus with it. So Gus eventually
peeked in and managed to get inside and chase her out. Then it was his
turn. He pushed it around for a while and then put it so the opening was
up against the side of the cage. Sonja meanwhile wanted it back, but she
couldn't take it back cause the door was blocked by the cage wall. So she
started leaping and dashing from one side of the piggaloo to the other,
each time poking at the door impatiently. Finally Gus shifted just a bit
too much, so that Sonja could nudge the piggaloo around by its door from
outside. She gained possession of the piggaloo again and propped it up so
she could occupy it and eat from the food bowl simultaneously, which left
the piggaloo more vulnerable to recapture, but Gus wanted a nap. When I
glanced over again she had lost interest too, temporarily and was busy
grooming Gus's nose hair. They are such cute piggies!
