Hi all,

I know I've been absent for a while but we have been SO busy over the last
few wheeks that I've barely had time to catch my breath! We have only just
come back from visiting my family - and for the first time we left Harvey
with my partners' mum and dad. I was a bit dubious as they are pretty old
and not in the best of health, and it would be a week they would be looking
after him for, which, for me, is a long time to be apart from my baby. But
we thought we'd give them a try....and all seemed to be fine, Harvey is his
normal violent self! I did notice that when we picked him up, his cage had
the most peculiar smell, sort of like really, really strong urine, but
weirder. His temporary owners said they wanted to clean him out, and they
were meant to have done it only two days before we picked him up, so surely
he shouldn't have smelled that bad? The funny thing is, he has NEVER smelt
like that with me. Does anyone have any ideas why that happened? If they
have done something wrong with him there is NO WAY that I'm putting him at
risk again - I didn't really want him to go there in the first place, but my
partner insisted.

Anyway, I'm a little behind with all the digest news I'm afraid, as I've
been away for a week, and when I came back, my mailbox was crammed with
unread GPDD's. I'm slowly trying to catch up on the reading - not easy when
you're so busy and have a nasty cold (oh, how lovely - a cold for
Chrstmas!). It seems there has been a lot going on, especially the
DISGUSTING incident with the lad tossing the piggie out of the window at
university. Why are some people so callous? Don't they realise that piggies
have feelings and suffer pain too, just like we do? It breaks my heart to
think of such cruelty. I seriously hope that the lad in question is
seriously reprimanded for this.

So, on a lighter note, Harvey and I would like to wish you all A VERY MERRY
CHRISTMAS and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope all the little piggies are snug
in their warm cages with their presents and stockings, because if I know
what all of the GPDD readers are like, then there will be some very spoilt
piggies about this Xmas!

Have a wonderful festive season all, and I look forward to reading the GPDD
in 2005!

All the best and warm wheeks from,
Harvey (The Boss).

And best wishes from,
His stressed-out slave! :-)
