[Gpdd] [CARE] Coronet's hair in her eyes

I have a guinea pig named Kiwi, who is a coronet guinea pig. Though I have
had her for several months, she is still a very timid guinea pig. I'm
wondering if her hair is the problem. As a coronet she has a rosette at the
top of her head, causing her hair to fall from her forehead, over her eyes.
She seems to like to "hide" by the saying: "If I can't see them, they can't
see me!" Here is a site that shows how the coronet can "hide" behind its
hair:

I have no troubles with Kiwi at all; she gets along with my other two gals
really well, and these are the best group of three I've ever had as to how
well they get along and how much they like and respect one another. However,
I do have a question...

Would it be helpful to cut Kiwi's hair close to her forehead so that she can
no longer hide behind her hair? Is it possible that this would help her to
get over some of her shyness?

I don't mind if Kiwi stays shy since she's a very sweet guinea pig, but I do
feel bad that unlike my other two, she does not beg for food or actively
seek attention. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable on guinea pigs and
have never seen one that is so very shy, despite all of my efforts to help.
She is in perfect health, so my only idea is possibly that she is somewhat
"blind" due to the hair, and that the inability to see well is causing her
to be timid and flighty.

Thanks for any ideas!

Melissa, Henna, Roo, Kiwi (don't look at me--I'm shy!), and the family pig
Fern
