I'd like to thank everyone that e-mailed me with their advice and I am
pleased to tell you that Ruby appears to be on the mend. She is off the
antibiotics and I have been feeding her natural yoghurt for two days. I
tried the whole pellet mush thing but she was having none of it. It ended up
everywhere but in her mouth! I had a battle the first day with the yoghurt
but this morning she suddenly decided that she actually likes it and was
begging for more. Her appetite has increased so she has been eating a few
more veggies but still not very much dried food. I have seen her eating some
hay though. She is still incredibly thin so its still touch and go but I
think things are looking up. I have been keeping her inside for a week now.
as it has started to get very cold here. This means though that she has been
seperated from her cagemates for the wholetime. I also thought she may
appreciate a bit of peace and quiet, as I have four that all live together
so you can imagine the squabbles. She is far too skinny to put her outside
and my indoor cage is at home until I can get it at christmas (I am at
university) so there is nowhere to put a second pig indoors, let alone
another three! Ruby has been living in the washing basket in my bedroom. So
I think she might start to get lonely as she starts to feel better. I cannot
let her have floor time with them either, as I have no way of making any of
the rooms piggy proof. So if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly
appreciate it.

Thanks, Nicola (and Ruby, Pepsi, Pansy and Heather)
