Hello fellow Canadian Ana Cruceru. I live in Ottawa with four guinea pigs
(Blanche, Patience, Chester and Charlotte) and an elderly beagle (Colby).
These are not our first guinea pigs but they are the first to enjoy that
delightful thing called floor time which I learned about after subscribing
to this list serve. I have been using some white cube grids that are really
supposed to be used for shelving. We set it up on the floor with an old
bedsheet underneath. A great use for old sheets and reusable too. They get
special treats while discovering one another after being in two separate
bedrooms. We also add cracker boxes which have been opened at both ends,
bathroom tissue rolls and other play toys which have bells inside. Both
children, 21 and 25 years old wanted their own pigs. These grids can be
bought at Wal-Mart or Zellers quite inexpensively. Happy floor time!! Janis
