I thought I would offer my condolences to those who recently lost a pig. We still miss Copper!

Since Copper's passing this year, my husband spoke to me about a co-worker whose daughter wants nothing more than a piggy. She is 16 and has always wanted one, but her father didn't think she was responsible enough until now.

To make a long story short, Snowball, Coppers cagemate and sister was very sad since her passing, and not the same. She no longer chirped or sang. I don't think we were able to give her enough attention as we also have Pickles, Cuddles, and Casper as well. Needless to say she was loosing weight from not wanting to eat. So we took a stab in the dark and offered her to the 16 year old in hopes that the one on one attention would be good for her. So we offered her and all her supplies-cage, etc.

We just got our fourth update...it's been a month, she is doing great! Not only eating, but chirping once again. She looks like a new pig. Her two new slaves dote on her. One is 16 and one is 8. She is rarely allowed to be in her pen for all the attention she receives.

Just thought I world share. I never planned to be a rescue and adopt any piggy's back out, but in this case it has worked well for all of us. Pickles, Cuddles, and Casper all agree as they now have more attention as well.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Liz, Pickles, Cuddles, Casper
and Snowball 's new family.
