Elizabeth,
We just bought both Kaytee and Oxbow Cavy Cuisine timothy pellets for our three Piggies. Overall, I think I like Oxbow better. I can't find anywhere what level of calcium is in Kaytee, and I even went to Kaytee.com. This is Oxbow's page for cavy cuisine ingredients: http://www.oxbowhay.com/Shop/showProduct.sp?PRODUCT_NO=47&cat=46. Oxbow is lower in fat, higher in fiber(which is very good for older Piggies), has calcium between 0.35% and 0.85%, has added vitimin A, and a higher level of vitimin C per pound of pellets. Oxbow also boasts that they used a stabilized form of vitimin C that has a 6-month shelf life.

I also don't like that Kaytee uses dehydrated alfalfa meal as a filler ingredient. According to several Piggie health sites including http://guinealynx.info/, alfalfa(1.28%) is higher in calcium to timothy(0.38%) by three times! I was warned by my vet to avoid alfalfa in pellets. I couldn't find Oxbow in the local store, so we ordered ours online. The Critter Store seemed to have the lowest prices and speedy shipping. You can reach their Guinea Pig store throught this link: http://www.critterstore.com/guinea-pigs.html

Good Luck!
