Erin,
Please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of Scabbers.  I was shocked to read your post, having assumed that Scabbers and Sunstroke were now "out of the woods" after their horrible experiences the first days of their lives.  Rest assured that Spirit was waiting at the Bridge and no doubt with some goodie to offer Scabbers to munch on.
