This is definitely a possibility. My Precious mourned the loss of her pal,
Bosco, when he died a few months back. She went on a pellet strike. She'd
eat some veggies, but her pellets stood untouched. She began to grow thin. I
found out when the next adoption day was for the local rescue, the Critter
Corral, and went in and came out with two new friends for Precious. The
threesome bonded that very day and happily shares a cage. Within a few days,
Precious had her voluptuous piggie figure back. I would definitely recommend
trying to get a new friend.
