Hello all. I just read about making sure that your cages outside are
properly animal proof. I also let my girls out in the yard, but we have
hawks and other flying death in our area. I NEVER leave the girls
unattended. Either my hubby or I sit out with them or stand over them. I
don't know any flying predator that could pass up 2 fat and sassy dinners.
Good call on the animals that eat piggies. sometimes my Golden retriever
will even lay down with them. you tell him to stay with his babies, and he
lays right down with them. I do not leave him alone with them also. It is
nice to throw out a blanket, grab a book or a glass of wine, and relax. I
live in Southern California, so it is beautiful. Early evening is the best
time. I have a red eyed piggie, and I hate to have her out with the sun
blinding. I usually stand up and provide shade for her. Anyway, thanks for
bringing that up especially with summer coming. Hugs to all and the girls
send popcorn buffalo style love.
