Tara-
I know some say not to put vitamins in the water, as they quickly lose their
potency, and you can't tell who gets the proper amount, etc. But the OP's
won't eat Vit C tablets, whether from Oxbow or the drugstore or where.
Currently I am putting multivitamins in their water and they have always
done well, just change it and rinse the bottles out well daily.
Where do you get the liquid Vit C to put in their water? I've looked everywhere,
even the nutrition stores, they all tell me you can't get it. I may still put a bit
of the multivitamin in the water, but really want to get some liquid C.
Oh, and if you are going to switch feed, they say you should change gradually,
so start mixing it a bit while you still have some of the old stuff. We feed Mazuri
mainly because I can go in the store and get it and not wait for shipping. But it
is a very good feed, the pigs do well on it, and there's no junk in it. Yesterday
at the Amazing Animals event, I set up the pens with some of the OP's and
some of Felicia's pigs. I put some of her pellets out for her pigs and they ignored
it. When I put some Mazuri out for mine, I gave hers a little, too, and they gobbled
it up! I wondered at this, as I thought she was feeding Mazuri, too. Later I learned
that was a sample of Calf Manna she was sending me, not their usual food!
