Both Moka, who is a white & brown dalmation, and BrownyBoy, who is a chocolate satin, have these "spurs". Their vet said that they get them because they are pampered pets and don't run around on rough surfaces to wear them down. I just clip them when I clip their nails, taking care not to clip too close to their little feet.

Hi Sam,

Sounds like Bianca has what you call spurs. They are harmless, but you do need
to cut them off or they might get it caught in something and tear it off by
accident.

This usually happens I notice with pigs that have white feet and they are mostly
on the front legs, am I correct?
