Hi Leah,

I laughed out loud when I read about Butterscotch and you trying to solve
his "manly problems". This is exactly the same thing I was doing to my
Speedy a couple of years ago. My sweet, gentle, and loveable Speedy
tolerated this invasion of his privacy for about 15 seconds and the next
thing I knew was that I had a really, really, mad guinea pig firmly
attached to the end of my thumb without any intentions of ever letting
go. He sank his teeth into the end of my thumb so deep I think his upper
and lower teeth would have met each other but the top teeth couldn't
penetrate the thumb nail.

I dangled Speedy over his cage with blood running down his face. For
what seemed like forever, he finally let go and dropped a few inches into
his cage. We were not on speaking terms for a day or two but I finally
forgave him and we became good buddies again. After that I was a little
more careful when I intruded into his "private world".

The next time you and Butterscotch have this encounter to deal with his
"manly problems".............be very careful!!!!

Jim........Sassy Suzy, Ginger, and Olivia
