[Gpdd] tutu went over the rainbow bridge

Hi, 
I am new to guinea pigs. I have had the blessing of being the guardian of  
tutu, a six year old American who gave me more love and joy than any pet I have  
had in my 62 years of life.
I wrote this poem as he was going to the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for your

                     IT TAKES SO LONG TO DIE  
holding you close to  me 
you writhe in my  hands 
my feeling body   
squirms with  you 
knowing full  well 
the end is  near 
I look and listen  intently 
for whatever you may  need 
any sign or signal   
that it is  finished 
how do I handle   
a day without  you? 
your soft, gentle  love 
forever freely  given 
your drrrrrrrs of  joy 
and squeaks of  connection 
you came to me,  chosen 
the blessed one to know  you 
you gave me your  essence 
your spirit, and  soul. 
I treasured every  heartbeat 
knowing this day would  come. 
my tears blanket  you 
caressing you on your  journey 
we are everlasting  companions 
as I remain eternally  grateful.
