When the 'Texas Belles' arrived here at Cavy Lodge ;-),
they stayed in their 'separate housing' for a time. Then
the little Peruvian girl (still just calling her Fluffy), Moose's
intended, went to stay a while with some other little girls,
and the black mama and babies got a big new cage.
But it is the kind with a plastic bottom that comes up
5 or 6". Moose had been standing guard just outside
their digs, trying to wish himself through the wire and
whispering sweet nothings to whoever would get close
enough to hear. Now, of course, he can't see them.
He is so sad! I tried fixing a little platform for him so
he could still see them, but that wasn't good enough.
Poor little Moose! I must re-arrange pens so he can at
  least visit through the panels.
And the Wild Child (until we find a better name), who had
been temporarily housed in a smaller cage while she got
over an ear infection, re-joined Buzzerre's group in the
corner of my bedroom (or, should I say "our room"?); this is
the pen with the ramp up onto my bed. She's still getting
the hang of things here, and last night, after I went to bed
and the lights were out (well, except the tv, CindyRella
and Mojo were watching a movie), I felt something soft
against my arm. There was the Wild Child - wondering
where the party was! I told her if she was going to stay
there she would have to lay down and be quiet, so she
didn't stay long. How many of you have been visited after
you went to bed by one of your piggies? ( I know, you're
more likely to find that they've been up and on the computer!)
It's also hard to sleep late, as one of them will always come
up by 7:00 to see if the 'upstairs' is open yet. And if I'm still
there, Mac da Roanie will arrive, talking to me, to be sure
I understand that it's time to get up. (reminds me of a Star
Wars alarm clock my son had once, an R2D2 and C3PO
that chirped and warbled, then C3PO said "what R2D2 is
saying is 'it's time to get up' ")- only this is better!

Yes, I must work on getting some pigtures available - need to
get above-mentioned son to get my camera hooked up to my
  computer again, for starters!
