[Gpdd] (Silly) Weights and Measures

Janneke,
It's funny that you wrote about measurements...I am a Vet Tech student (or Veterinary Nursing student, if you like) and we have been going over weights and measures. To make it easy, 1kg = 2.2 pounds. The metric system is pretty strange to us in the U.S., but the rest of the world uses it. I can remember when I was just a youngster, they wanted us to switch to the metric system but everyone raised such a fuss about it that it was dropped....now, 25 years later, here I am trying to learn metrics! But I have to, because we do anesthesia and fluid replacement therapy based on weight in kilograms...I guess you never stop learning!
