Hey guys,
Okay, so the next day (Saturday), I
heard B-Bear making unpleasant
noises when she urinated, so I knew
that she didn't pass all of the bladder
stones the night before. I was bummed.
But, she didn't scream when she
pee'd that evening, so maybe the
worst was over (???).

The same for Sunday. No screams.
No stones. I was still syringing her
the 3 Shilintong tablets per day and
the extra water, but other than a little
bladder sludge, there were no more
stones to be found.

So, she had her appointment with Dr.
Griffin on Monday, and he did x-rays.
I brought in the ziplock bag of the stones
that she passed on Friday night. But,
I didn't get them analyzed b/c I already
know what kind of stones BB suffers
with (calcium carbonate).

Well, the previous x-rays (from November)
showed 2 big stones and a couple of
smaller ones. But, the new x-rays showed
1 big stone, and about 100 or more of
those tiny, tiny stones (???). Dr. G
asked me if I had changed her diet,
but I haven't really in a while. He was a
bit baffled too, because BB's stones
had never been super tiny like that.

So, Dr. G suggested that I come back
in a wheek or so and check on the
stones. If they are still there, he could
go in through her urethra and flush the
tiny, tiny stones out. But, that procedure
most likely wouldn't get rid of the huge
stone. So, I don't think I want to go that
route. If I can't get the stones to pass,
then I am seriously considering surgery
at this stage.

Now, on my drive back home from the
Vet's, I started thinking about what has
changed in BB's diet? And then a
lightbulb went off.

More later...

  Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeps,
