Hi Lori and daughter and George!

Welcome to the GPDD. My name is Penny and I run a little rescue in the UK called Piggyfriends. Since I joined this wonderful group last summer, I have made lots of lovely friends here and "met" many adorable piggies.

I am sure that George thinks that you rescued him from that yucky pet store. It will take him a while to adjust to his new home but I am sure that it won't be long before George becomes a cuddle pig. Not long ago, I brought home 4 piggies who had been neglected and were terrified of being handled but now they all cme running for a cuddle.

You are doing the right thing by leaving him in his cage to settle in before letting him out in his playpen but can understand your daughter's impatience. Piggies are just made for cuddling.
