Hi Everyone,
I finally made it to the vets with Miss Zeussy and now finally have a chance
to post about it. As it turns out she has a UTI. At this point the doctor
doesn't think it is bladder stones or any female reproductive issues, so we
have started her on baytril. She was and still is soooooo mad at me. We were
at the vet's office for over an hour and the procedure for collecting her
urine was not any fun for her (or me). It was a little frightening that her
pee didn't look pink on the table, but as soon as they had it in the syringe
it was very pink. I am so happy I caught this when I did and she won't have
to suffer any longer. Is there anything thing special anyone has done for
their piggies with urinary tract infections? I feel so horrible that this
happend to her. She already gets cranberry juice a couple of times a week in
her water bottle. Is is okay to give it to her everyday? I read something
on Peter Gurney's website about syringing her her barley water to coat the
bladder. Has anyone done this?

Thanks for listening again! I am sending healing wishes to all the sick
piggies out there.
