Welcome Manny the Boar!! And you too, Sandy!

We've missed you and the Penny Giggles tho fortunately you do still post
occasionally keeping us up to date and often informed.
When Charlie had the hair loss which vet diagnosed as mites, he also
gave him a pink liquid antibiotic for possible/probably infection fron scratching
and biting. I told him that he also used his sipper bottle to scratch which
increased the hair loss, but what did I know? It was the typical pattern for
mites. I agreed with the mites diagnosis, but hey! I used to watch him scratch
on the sipper bottle, and it further irritated his skin. Do some of these vets
think we lie awake at night and dream up stories to tell the vet? Point is, do
you have a source for an antibiotic or could you use a non-toxic antibiotic
ointment like neosporin to help soothe his skin?

Are black eyes with a red cast what they call Ruby colored eyes, Sandy?
(I really don't know the answer to this one!)

I am just so happy that you have a guinea pig buddy back in your life.
And happy to have you back in our lives.

By the way, this is in no way relevant but, I was looking at "Craige's
List" for the first time last night (which I've heard of only recently) and
there was a couple listing 2 "3 wheek old" babies born Dec. 19th. They would be 3
wheeeks old and ready to go on the 1st of Jan. They bought the momma from the
pet shop and guess what? She was pregnant.
I helped my little Chester to the Bridge on the 18th and I know that was
2 wheeeks and not 3 wheeks ago. They can't even determine the sex of the set.
So, while you good people are going out doing the piggy patrol rounds in the
pet store, I have found a way to impart helpful (if not always welcome)
information while being at home.
So I did send them a nice email, decribed sex differences and sent them
to diagrams and illustrations at Guinea Lynxs. And I recommend a group called
the GPDD. :)

Keep us posted on the progress of Manny the Boar, Sandy! And on your
progress.

Alge and Charlie the knuckle nibbler (I think he's mad at me)
