[Gpdd] (HEALTH) Wet tail - need tips on syringe feeding

My guinea pig has diarrhea. We came back from a weeks vacation and she was
pretty sick. (We have a pet sitter who usually does a great job - but
something must have gone wrong). I immediately took her to the emergency
vet. They gave her fluids, a pain shot and vitamin C. She is on several meds
and I'm attempting tu supplement with Critical Care. I've had guinea pigs
for almost 15 years - but I've never had problems trying to feed with a
syringe like this. For some reason this one is really stumping me. I know
the only way she's probably going to get better is to get her to eat and to
get her digestive system moving.

Any tips would really be great. Here's what I'm dealing with.

 - I can't get it to a good consistency when I mix it. To get it to work I
have to make it almost runny.
 - I try to put her in a "burrito" - wrapping the blanket around her - but
she still spits up most of the food.
 - The syringe I have is large, and I have cut off the tip to make it take
the food better - but then it's not long enough for me to get it back to her
molars where she may possibly chew the food rather than spitting it up.

I'm really worried that we won't be able to save her. My husband is taking
her to our regular vet today for a re-check - but I need any other advice
you all can give.

Thanks so much!

Jenn
