[Gpdd] Announcement: Sandy's loss; part2

Hello Again,
     
     I've been in bed but not asleep, and it occurred that when sharing the 
news of Sandy's profound loss of her son, I focused on the destructiveness of 
addiction. I omitted how heartbreaking it is to lose someone so loved, the loss 
of one's child -- even an adult child -- and the loss and sorrow she is now 
going through. That's what it's really all about isn't it?

     I don't know how I could manage to get through this thing if I were in 
her place. It has to be terrible for her. And I feel that we do need to support 
her. We are somehow family to each other here...   truly, I'm at a loss

     I wish her peace and comfort but fear that it will be a long time 
coming.

     I know that death isn't always a bad thing for the person who goes on 
ahead, but for those left behind there's such emptiness.
