When my guinea pigs had lice, I used a kitten shampoo, recommended by my vet. They were bathed once a week for three weeks. Their cages were disinfected and rinced well before they were allowed back in them. All bedding was tossed out. They were comfortable soon after the first bath. The lice never returned. Evelyn
