Blossom, Baby Truffles' mompig, had trouble from late afternoon yesterday. From late last night, she began to drool and well, it's like she was acting like something was caught in her mouth. Michael repeatedly checked her teeth. We finally called the vet at around 2 a.m. and he said it sounds like something is caught in her throat. (In emergencies, he only gives advice over the phone.) He said to give her water so that she can 'swallow' whatever it is.

Late yesterday afternoon, she saw a vet from the same office, who gave her flagyl because she saw some bacteria in her stool sample. 'Our' vet said that sometimes they can have a reaction to the flagyl. So we stayed up with her and her 'episodes' became less frequent and less horrific.

This morning, she even ate some lettuce for breakfast. Just a little.

So we called the vet's office when they opened and they said the vet wants them all morning to observe them, so that's where Blossom and Baby Truffles are this morning. Even after breakfast, Blossom was still acting like something was caught in her mouth, opening her mouth wide, but no drool anymore. As can be ascertained, I am fraught with worry!

Thanks for listening.

Corrine and Michael
