Corinne,
Didn't you mention at one point that Blossom has ovarian cysts?  I'm wondering if the cysts aren't causing tiny spots of blood that seem to appear from time to time.  This had been the case with my Isabel who is currently being treated for ovarian cysts.   Also, there is no crying when these spots appear, unlike with a UTI.
