[Gpdd] HEALTH- sore ears

Our foster piggie Holli keeps getting these sores on her ears. The first one I know was from her scratching with toenails that were too long. (we have since gotten the toenails trimmed) That healed ok, but then she got sores on the edges of her other ear, then last night when I got her out, she had a new wound on the inside of the one ear. She does scratch & shake her ears sometimes, so I'm thinking maybe ear mites? I keep putting either Vaseline or antibiotic cream on the wounds, but it seems like she just keeps getting more. The only other thing we can think is that she chews the entrance of her pigloo so it's all rough. Maybe she is rubbing her ears against that & cutting them? I guess I'll be e-mailing the Humane League again. I was hoping we could take her back next week. I don't want her to go, but I want her to find a forever home before she gets too big. Any suggestions as to what these ear problems are? Thanks.
