Julie, we had high hopes that Donald would get well, and we felt such sadness to hear that he had passed away. We have "been there," and we know how hard it must have been when he ate so well in the afternoon and then didn't want to eat that evening. We've also experienced having to make the decision to humanely help a piggie to the Bridge, and our piggie, Sunshine, like Donald, understood what was happening. Our hearts go out to you, and we hope it will lift at least a bit of sadness from you in knowing that we have sat with a piggie in our arms, after having made such a very difficult decision. Please be assured that by that act, you did indeed prove your love to him, though he already knew the depth of your love. That is the important thing -- he was surrounded by your devotion throughout his life. Donald went to the Bridge from the safety of your arms, having no doubt how much you cared for him and how tirelessly you worked to get him well. What a lucky boy. Thank you for sharing some of your memories of him, such as how he snuggled his head into your arms as you syringe-fed him and how he would give your little kisses. So sweet. We send our belated condolences on his passing. We also send best wishes to his best friend, Hamish.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all sick piggies and their families.

Sadly,
Cindy, Tumbleweed, and Friday
