Dear Audrey and Ricki, it is with sadness that I read of Chelito's passing. I know there will be a gaping hole in their lives, one which will be very hard to fill and will take a long time to "get over". I don't think we ever get over the loss of our beloved babies do we? We are just forced by life to get on with things.

Strangely enough, it is just over 3 weeks since I helped Donald to the Bridge due to teeth problems, and he also had eye problems - a cataract in one eye and another cataract forming in the other eye. I always wondered, and will continue to wonder, whether the teeth/eye problems were related - some sort of neurological problem.

I understand how distressing it would have been for Ricki to have to syringe feed her, to take her to different vets, to see her decline in health, leaving Ricki with no option but to prove her love for Chelito and help him to the Bridge. I went through the same thing with Donald, and 2 years ago it was Archie suffering the same problems. Putting Donald to sleep was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make, but I am beginning to find some peace now, knowing Donald is no longer suffering the indignity of not being able to eat his favourite foods, whilst the other piggies around him were always eating with gusto.

My Donald, and little Chelito, will be together now at the Bridge with so many dear little masters before them. I am sure we will all be together again one day Audrey/Ricki - all we masters and slaves - and we'll have just a good time getting to know each other and talk and talk and talk about our babies and the love we all shared with them.

Please pass on my sincerest condolences to Ricki and Bill, and my prayers that they will soon find some comfort and be able to remember happy times with their little baby. Only time can help heal the wound left by Chelito's passing - and it will probably take a long time.

Sad wheeks from Julie & her loving boys - Wheeky, Sooty, Snowdrop, Joey, Kimba, Treacle, Hugo, Honey & Hamish
{remembering my darlings - Donald, Brandy, Archie, Dougall, Teddy & Muppet, forever in my heart and soul - desperately & despairingly missed)
