Stefanie and the sad Surrey Squeakers, please accept our very belated condolences on Orinoco's passing.  We know she will be missed, not only as one of your piggies but also as one of Peter Gurney's piggies.  How wonderful that you were able to adopt her and one of his other piggies from the rescue after his passing.  Thank you for sharing some of your memories of her.  How amazing that although she seemed quite old, she surprised you with five babies; we liked your description of how they all had her wavy ears.  We are sorry that a couple of years ago she began having troubles walking and needed help going up and down her ramp, but we are glad that she kept her happy spirit and her appetite, and we know she appreciated all of your care and attention.  You obviously extended her already long life by two years, and that is great.  Orinoco was a very lucky girl to have been part of your loving family, and we are sure she has met Peter again at the Bridge.  

Please don't feel bad for having to take her three baby boars back to the rescue.  You kept the two girls, and that means you rescued four piggies on the day you adopted Orinoco -- Orinoco, her two female babies, and the other piggie you took home.  Not bad for one day!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all sick piggies and their families.
