Thanks M for your thoughts.  I've been finding myself in total grief without warning ... not just for Providence, but for the others as well.  I guess I really didn't let myself grieve for the others since I was so busy tending to one or more.  I guess that could explain why I didn't cry after losing some this spring/summer.

I'm sorry to hear about Fugly and not finding the stones early enough.  It seems strange that he would have no other symptoms than weight loss.  I'm going to have to keep that in mind for the future.
