Since some people have wondered or asked, here's a link that shows some video of the damage that Hawaii has suffered from the 03/11 tsunami:

In comparison to Japan, we are all grateful that this is all that happened.  But people did lose homes, businesses, boats.

Lots of wildlife were lost too.  When we saw the broadcast on our local news, I just couldn't stop crying.

We just saw on our local news that iodine has showed up in our local milk (Big Island) and produce.  Of course the amount is very small and nothing to cause panic.  But this set me to wondering if the iodine is in our produce then is it safe for the piggies?  Our piggies are so much smaller than we humans are so we're wondering if they could handle any iodine at all.  We try to stick to hydroponic or organic produce grown locally, but now we're wondering what produce would be best for them.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,  Corrine
