    My dear Calliope passed away last Tuesday at the age of six.  I was honored to have her in my home.  She was with loving pigsitters at the time, she squeaked for her morning treats, and when her strawberry was brought to her, she had passed away in her pigloo.  She was a piggie with great attitude, with a nose in the air, who relished her food and her naps.  She was an active participant in the AOL Friday night Critter Chats, and survived her sister Honey who passed away early this spring.  She and her friends decorated the chatroom with critter needs in the virtual chatroom using "Steve's" credit card- widescreen televisions, big veg larder fridges, a wide back deck, boats for the underground lake through the pantry secret entrance.  She rode all round the world with guinea pigs, skunkies, chinchillas, and other chatroom critters on their special magic carpet.  Wearing goggles, she rode sidecar by Harly guinea pig's motorcycle on great adventures.
    She had survived an operation for an oozing cyst which burst a few years back, which a vet had thought was a fatty cyst under the skin.  She healed nicely from that.  She was loved in several households when I traveled with my husband.  
    Our friends had her on her princess bed when we returned the next day, and she is buried with dandelion leaves and hay next to her sister Honey and Barney guinea pig and Barney's first wife Holly by the stone wall under the evergreens, close by the Afon Marchogion.  
    Like her mentor Barney, she had a peaceful death, which is what we all wish for in the end for our loved piggies.  
    I would like to thank all those who shared in her care during time away and sabbaticals.  Cath, Ian and Julia, David, Stephanie and young Felix, Christine and Mick, and Carol. Calliopig touched many lives.
