In answer to Lynn's reply to me below, I would say that rapid fire cecals
isn't normal, perhaps they are gassy and the feeling of it releasing it
feels funny to them so they check it out. Three courses of action:
1. Check out their list of foods, eliminate or cut down on the gassy ones,
in their former life they probably were fed pellets and were lucky to get
hay or lettuce. Ramp up new food slowly, don't feed anything with colored
bits or seed, no sugars, they ferment and cause mountains of gas and
diabetes.
2. Give them simethicone otherwise marketed as Gas-X. The only active
ingredient should be simethicone and it should not be the type marketed for
relief of diarrhea, just gas. Use the pediatric dose 3x day, but best to use
the adult product like a gel cap. Poke a hole and squeeze it onto some
romaine or carrot. That way you avoid all the nasty and poisonous fake and
real sweeteners and colorants that are foisted off on our kids. Avoid all
products that list sorbitol (a sweetener) as it causes gas in piggies and
humans. Simethicone isn't known to cause overdoses, it's very benign.
3. make sure they have been treated with ivermectin and Panacur, nothing
like intestinal parasites to cause an intestinal rumble. Also if this is
their first such treatment there may be some intestinal upset, odd poos, and
gas afterwards as their load of parasites die and are passed out.
4. Consider the vet trip if these solutions don't sound right or don't work
or if they get worse or have pain.

Please remember I am but a slave to Sammy and the herd that came before him,
I am not a vet, vet's aide, or medical professional or specialist. Best
regards and get better soon gals, we are counting on you to help bring the
Pearl home safely. Sandy Sammy and AR

"Hi Sandra, I had thought of this but they were doing this behavior about
every 20 or 30 seconds. Do they produce that many cedcals in a matter of a
half hour or so?"

Thanks, Lynn
