[Gpdd] CARE: Re: PetSmart stores selling small animals

After reading these posts, just out of curiosity, I called 4 different
Petsmarts in my area to find out what is what. I found 3 that had only
males and only 1 that had only females. They did say they are sent by the
breeder already sexed. I can only hope the breeders know what they are
doing. Doing some other research, I did some reading on the web and found
a web site called:

www.petsmartcruelty.com

Does anyone know if this is legit and if so, does it apply to all stores
that carry small animals? If so, where in the world should I buy my girls
their treats and toys? Strictly online, do you think? I want to stock up
before my new arrivals come here and don't want to support *any* store that
practices these methods. I also discovered that while Petsmart charges
$34.95/pig, Pet Warehouse sells them for $19.95/pig. That makes me wonder
if there is some correlation between the way they are treateed and how much
they charge for them. This is all so disturbing.

Thanks, Lynn, Samantha and Tabitha at the bridge and in my heart
