Hi everyone,

Spoke to vets on friday late, Velvet def has cancer. The histology
report (which i'll receive on tuesday) confims this after the cystology
report. Brendan will do exploratory surgery and maybe spay, he'll
notifiy me if it's not good when he goes in for a look see on Velvet
(cross paws please)

New problem tho........... please read i need advice

As of thursday Onyx has been bullying/hassling Velvet a bit, it has
escalated but no biting SIGH. Onyx is acting like she's on heat!! they
are both 3yrs 4mths.

I went out friday night, my hubby fed them normal time, when i got home
at 11.30pm not a lot of food had gone, i was concerned but this has
happened before and all food usually goes thru the night. This did not
happen tho!
Therefore both lost weight, in total now Onyx has lost 50g and Velvet
40g since thursday.
I thought maybe it was the food, so bought fresh capsicums etc and
served dinner at 9pm. thruout saturday i did give snacks and each time
Velvet would go to come out for food Onyx would brrrrrr at her! I think
Onyx is also lying close to Velvet (i thought being sweet) but now i'm
wondering if she's stopping her from coming out to eat or guarding her?
Sunday i started more CC for Onyx and hand feeding veg to Velvet. I'm
giving Velvet an hour at a time mornings and night without Onyx so
she'll eat, but she tends to wait and calls for Onyx!! Onyx also calls
out for Velvet (they do have a strong bond)
Velvet doesn't seem to want to eat capsicum anymore now, where as i can
get Onyx to eat it if i hand feed it.

I'm at a loss...... there's obviously something that's happened? I was
going to do butt baths but it's been miserable and cold in OZ and i dare
not let Velvet be damp with her op on tuesday (exploratory, possible
spay.....)

I need some urgent advice on how to settle Onyx and make life 'happy'
again.....

Love
Glynis (who's already lacking sleep and extremely worried)
