[Gpdd] [Peter Gurney] Remember the Memorial Candle Lighting March 9th!

Hi People and Piggies,
Remember to mark your calendars and light a candle on March 9th, at or around 8:00 pm, in honor of Peter Gurney and all of our piggies and friends who are now with Peter Gurney at the Rainbow Bridge.  This will be our seventh memborial candle-light memorial, and all you have to do to participate is light a candle.  Afterward, just tell me your location and I will post a list and make a map showing all the places where a candle was lit.
 
If you want to see where candles were lit in 2011, just take a look at the GPDD homepage.  There you can see a world map and a listing of all the specific locations where candles were lit.
 
This year our GPDD friend Sandy is also coordinating an "Origami Boat Float" to be held in conjunction with the Candle Light Memorial.  See her post of February 16 (GPDD Vol 22, Issue 52, post #7).  In addition to the candle, you can ask her to float a little origami boat for a pet who is now at the Bridge, or you can make a little boat and float it yourself on the same day that we do the Memorial Candle Lighting.
 
This is a "real" event (not virtual), and everyone is invited to light a real candle for our pets and friends at the Rainbow Bridge.  March 9th was Peter Gurney's Birthday.  Peter Gurney wrote many of the books and the website that we all use.  He was tireless advocate who loved piggies, and he had many.  You can read more about him on the GPDD homepage, as well.
 
This is our 7th Candle Light Memorial, so mark you calendars and tell others who may want to participate about it, too.  The more, the better!
