[Gpdd] HEALTH: Ruffian recovering

Ruffian made it through the night! I'm having trouble feeding the Critical Care. The plunger gets stuck, and I have to press it real hard. Then it squirts out all over the place. I think I'll dilute it more next time.
 
The poor little girl has diarrhea really bad. The vet tech said to gently dab it clean with a mild Dawn soap solution (the kind they use on animals caught in oil spills). The incision looks good. I'll give another dabble bath in a couple hours. She is on shredded newspaper which is surprisingly easy to clean, even with the messy droppings. I caught her munching on the newspaper even though there was hay right in front of her. Can't figure that one out. I'm so grateful for another day with her.
 
Thanks for your support. It's working. I feel at peace whichever way things turn out. Like I said, we've done everything we can do for my sweet girl. Now it's time to love and nourish her for as long as I'm allowed.
