Hello Michelle, Caramel and Zipper.

If they were mine, this is what I would do. Remove them from their homes.
Thoroughly clean out the home that you want them to live in. Also scrub out
the one that is temporarily being used for the culprit.

The idea being that you are going to introduce them as if they have never
met before so you want homes that do not smell of any other piggy. Do the
same with their bowls, cosies, water bottles. hideys....anything that is
going to go into the "new" home.

Now you need to do the same with the piggies. They both need a thorough
shampoo to remove any scent then, when they are dry, try to introduce them
in the same way that you would with new pigs with completely fresh hay and
lots of food to keep them busy.

If you have another cage/pen you could introduce them on neutral ground. I
have a very large, cut down cardboard box that once held a washing machine
and I use this for introducing boars. Whatever suits you as long as it is
completey piggy scent free. The larger the better as it gives them room to
avoid each other if necessary.

My Rodentologists used to say that a drop of two of lavender oil on the
backs of piggies in this situation can work as it confuses the aggressor. I
have never needed to try this but I know that is has worked for others.

If all of this fails ( and I sincerely hope that it is a success ) have a
towel handy to throw over the aggressor and then you can remove her without
damage to yourself. One of our members neglected to use a towel when
separating fighting boars and was severely bitten. Piggies look so cute but
those teeth can inflict serious damage.

All the very best. Let us know how you get on. The only alternative is to
use a divider in a large pen or have cages/pens side by side so that they
can have the vital company without Zipper being lonely. He does not deserve
his ersthwile friend attacking him after going though the trauma of being
neutered.

Penny and the Piggyfriends.
