[Gpdd] PETER GURNEY: candle llighting in three weeks!

Oliver and Scottie would like to remind everyone that the Peter Gurney Memorial Candle Lighting is in three weeks, on March 9th!
 
This is a real, not virtual, event. Just light a candle from 8 to 9 p.m. your time, then candles in the next time zone will be lit. In this way, the light circles the globe in remembrance of Mr. Gurney and our other friends who have passed on, be they human, furred, finned, or feathered.
 
We've been observing this event since 2006, when Mr. Gurney, a tireless advocate for guinea pigs, passed away.
 
We hope you can join us. In past years, we've had participation around the world, in both hemispheres and on most continents. Feel free to tell your friends. You don't have to be a member of the Digest to join in.
