Wow Ducky - I'm impressed! Unfortunately, I'm
not your mom, but I think you could convince
any parent! 
Here's another idea I had, in reading your 
suggestions. Maybe Laura, or anyone in the
same boat, could visit the exotics vet for
a manicure or something similarly cheap.
Discuss gp matters, perhaps the doc could
do the convincing.
