Hi Janet,
it must be very frustrating wanting a friend for Isabel, and ending up with
an enemy instead. To me it sounds like that there is still hope for them to
become friends. That Lily takes to you is a good sign. She wants to be the leader
and lets Isabel know in no uncertain terms.
When you think about it, Lily has had a lot of changes within the past 3
month. She went through pregnancy ( I was crabby for 9 month myself, and that
twice!!!) Hormones changing all the time, raising her babies, getting kicked out
of the house, moving and putting up with a new pig, and getting used to a new
environment. That's a lot, I am getting anxious just thinking about it.
It might be a little to early to introduce them quite yet.
If it would be me, I would start out with placing the cages far away from
each other. When Lily calms down, I would put the cages next to each other, and I
think that it is a great idea to handle both of them at the same time, maybe
share some dandelion leaves or romaine lettuce.
I really hope that it will work out. How was Lily behaving with the previous
owners, is there a way for you to find out?

good luck,
Marion
