Hi Lori,
funny that you should ask about whether piggies can eat the dandelions 
flowers or not, just as I came back with a big bag full of dandelion leaves and I 
asked myself the same question. I knew the answer at one time...but I couldn't 
remember. I decided to pick a few flowers with the leaves. Both of my pigs ate 
all the leaves but would not touch the flowers. I have to say, the question 
has been gnawing at me all afternoon. So I pulled up some guinea pig sites, and 
found out that not only can they eat the dandelion flowers but the site also 
had pictures of a variety of gras and weeds that are good for them, and not so 
good for them.

In the meantime I am doing an experiment on how to keep dandelion leaves 
fresh. Right now I have them in containers with water, without water, in a zipped 
plastic bag, and a twisty bag in my fridge. I'll update you about my findings.
I must have too much free time on my hands....
