Beki, I was so sorry to read about your dear Gemma.  I am sure that most 
of us on the Digest have faced the hard choice of putting a pet to sleep or 
struggling to medicate the sick animal.  And sometimes, no matter what we 
choose, it feels like we made the wrong choice.  The important thing is 
that you gave Gemma lots of love and attention.  It sounds like she was
