[Gpdd] HEALTH - vitamins

We talk a lot about vitamin C, but I've always wondered if pigs need a
variety of vitamins and minerals like we do.

As you know by now, my mom, who lives with me now has a number of parrots.
OK, she's got six of the noisy little beggars. I guess I inherited my
excessive pet behaviors from her (six pigs, a rat, two mice, two tanks of
fish, two cats, I think that's all).

The birds each get a dish of treats every day, a variety of fruit and veg.
To insure that they get their vitamins, she sprinkles avian vitamin powder
on the treats, being fruit and veg, the powder sticks. They eat the treats
and don't even know they're getting their vitamins. Easy.

Lately I've been doing the same with the pigs - sprinkling bird vitamins on
their treats - they eat every last shred of everything and so get their
vitamins.

Does this sound like a good idea to anyone else? Could this be detrimental
in any way?

Love from all of us,
Louise and her masters, Phineas, Delilah, Hillary, Pandora, Mostly,
Neville, and Mr. Norman, the rat
