Hi Guys
I love reading all everyone's posts, and get lots of tips, but I just wanted
to ask, is there anything specific I should look for when doing a health
check?
My boys seem to be healthy, clean noses and eyes, clean bums, their claws
aren't to long, and they run around and wheek quite happily most of the
time.
Maybe I am being dumb , but what do you mean by impacted?
My pigs love celery, but I guess I will have to cut down how much I give
them. They do get lots of other stuff too. Carrot tops, sprouts have tried
courgettes but they didn't seem too keen. They love Kale , and now I know I
will try them with other greens like spinach.
Although we don't have a lawn in our garden, I am planning on taking them
over to my folks place, they have a huge garden all round their house, so I
can make a run and keep it in the garage till they visit.
FYI Albino pigs I would guess are more sensitive to the light, they have
little or no protection from damage if they have red eyes, as with human
albino's, I would just be careful and try to keep them out of bright
sunlight.
Thanks to Deborah T and Debbie G for the advice. Debbie I hope Potter keeps
doing well. I don't think I would be able to be as calm if Oscar or Quentin
had a tumour. I just panic if Tom is holding one of them and looking at him
really closely, I am soo soft.
Marion - Pigs are easy to care for and also rewarding they are so
affectionate, that's why I chose them. Tom had pigs as a youngster but I had
a tortoise called Suzie.
Crystal, it took us about 3 weeks to come up with names, I wanted to get to
know them a bit first!
Sorry for the long post
Have a good week piggies and slaves
D Oscar and Quentin
