[Gpdd] misc: GPs being shipped to US for human food!

[Erin Lisa Butler-Simmons]

WHile on Yahoo tonight, I was flipping through the latest AP (Associated Press) pictures, and was horrified to find that a University in Peru has developed a "super guinea pig" that weighs 2lbs in just 2 months. They are being slaughtered and shipped out (mostly to the US) at the rate of 1000 a week!!!! They are served at so called "high class" restaurants that serve gourmet food! You can go to Yahoo and do a search for "Super Guinea Pig" or look under strange news. They show a picture of a mamma cavie with her litter looking so sweet. They are destined for dinner plates.
How sad/
